Both the Wheel Self Balancing Electric Scooter

With all the launch of the newest 2 wheel self balancing electric scooter, 2015 has become an exciting year for gadget fans. Around the globe, folks are taking to YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to publish pics and vids of themselves zipping around about this 2 wheel contraption which basically appears like a board with a wheel on either sides.


A mixture of a skateboard and a segway, this mini Segway (with no handle) type thing is bolstering in popularity, fuelled partly from the amount of celebrities which were seen on a single. From Attacking young boys to Soulja Boy, Kendall Jenner to Jamie Foxx, all have tried their hand as of this nifty little gadget, and seem to own were built with a great deal of fun the process.

Nicknamed the ‘swegway’ (due to it’s likeness on the Segway, but a ‘cooler’ version) we’re not sure entirely where this particular self balancing scooters descends from or who invented the very first. Probably it descends from some factory in China. The very first glimpses we had than it in the media were something known as the IO Hawk, a scooter that will cost you a stunning $1800. This was back January of 2015. Subsequently many cheaper versions the exact same product have fallen on the market along with the average price at the moment appears to be around $500.

So how exactly does it work? Basically you stand on both the panels and shift your system weight slightly forward or slightly back and yes it senses this bodyweight change and moves backwards or forwards. It may also turn right or left. This self balancing scooters is proving to be so well received it’s actually being touted since the personal mobility device of the future. Who wants to walk when you can glide, right? Plus it’s a lot faster than walking, travelling at speeds of 6mph to 10mph.
