Have you got a Smartphone Addiction?

Some days it appears as though the world is hooked on their smartphones!

You simply can’t walk one city block without encountering someone, and more often many people, wanting to text and walk, usually badly.


Despite mass awareness, legislative change and police clamp downs you can’t commute home without passing people who have their phones in their hand. These people are prepared to risk their lives, other people’s lives possibly at the absolute minimum the property harm to an accident as an alternative to place the smartphone away.

Go to any busy restaurant and you will view a number of people on their own devices sometimes more people who have their devices sitting just waiting to be picked up at the hint associated with an email, text or call! Don’t these individuals want to speak to their fellow diners?

Navigate to the average work meeting and ask website visitors to pull the plug on their cell phones and you’ll be met with awe and dismay. When did many of us become very important that we is not “offline” for two hours?

As a possible cell phone privacy in a relationship, the smartphone is very dangerous because it doesn’t pander to your have to be in contact with our family and friends 24/7 just about all gives us internet access 24/7. We’d like no longer must wait minutes to know this news, or a sports score… our smartphone delivers it to all of us AND even informs us when it arrives!

None with this is rational.

Whenever we made rational decisions then we would schedule time for it to check our email, because it corresponds with your work.

We may stay in touch with family and friends, but periodically at lunch or maybe during an afternoon break.

We may not require to learn about this news “as it happens” because we may be centered on the task available, which most days of a few days is our obligation.

In meetings we may place the thing away, provide constructive input to the meeting and address anything else following your meeting.

We may employ hands free technology in your cars to talk while driving. However our eyes can be on the highway and our hands guiding the car… not texting our friends.

A rational choice would be to drive our day, to be as productive as is possible also to utilize smartphone as a tool.

Instead… we let our smartphones interrupt our everyday life, impact our productivity, hurt our relationships and maybe kill us, and others, as we drive home.
