Keeping up with the expression “it ‘s what it is”? Simply what does that expression mean exactly?
Before I understood the deeper concept of this expression, I envisioned an emaciated yogi guru within the lotus position floating over the ground imperiously imparting wisdom that might take scholars multiple lifetimes to interpret. Seeing as how this can be my last life on earth and the lotus position would put me in traction, I knew that consulting this course In Miracles is needed me clarify its meaning.
What’s the IT that we are writing about here? In line with the Course in Miracles, IT is truth, specifically God’s truth. How come it’s vital that you emphasize that it is God’s truth? Because God’s truth is not available to interpretations whereas a human’s facts are. Multiple versions of human truth have result in a several religions. The Columbia Electronic Encyclopedia defines religion being a “system of thought, feeling, and action that is shared with a group and that increases the members an item of devotion.”
Who devised the machine of thought? On whose feelings are these thoughts based? Are actions really necessary? Based on the Course In Miracles, God just is and our ultimate goal is to return to a great state of being. There’s no thought or action from the condition of being, you merely are. What mustn’t be forgotten will be the underlying thread of all religions: God is creator, God is love and we’re all perfect and infinite children of God.
Put another way, “it is what it is” might be rewritten to “God’s love is the only truth and it’s also absolute” and this truth knows no bounds which is timeless.
