This cut has more cutting edges and will remove material faster. Double cut otherwise known as Diamond Cut or Cross Cut (2 flutes cut across one another) and definately will leave a smoother finish than single cut due to producing smaller chips since they cut away the information. Use double cut for medium-light stock removal, deburring, finishing and cleaning. Double cut carbide burrs are most popular and work for most applications.

What SB-3 Carbide Burr RPM speed if you work with?
The rate of which you employ your carbide burr with your rotary tool is determined by the pad you’re deploying it on along with the contour being produced but it’s safe to say you do not need over 35,000 RPM. When the burs are chipping easily this may be because of the speed being too slow. It’s ideal to begin the bur off slow, enhancing the speed during this process. High speeds will prevent clogging within the flutes of your respective carbide burs.
As with all drill bits and burrs, permit the burr perform work and apply simply a little pressure, otherwise the cutting edges with the flutes will chip away or become smooth too rapidly, minimizing the life of your burr.
