Most likely the least understood expression from the human system is our emotional intelligence. A feeling will be the outcome of a feeling. And even though it’s simple enough to identify when you’re “feeling” something – it often less clear precisely what a “feeling” actually is.
Based on Webster’s Dictionary, a feeling is “a partly mental, partly physical, response marked by pleasure, pain, attraction, or repulsion.”
However this says nothing about the reaction to the impression! Suppose two different men obtain a car and for some odd reason both of them have the identical experience – the controls comes lose 2 days later.
Both men obviously “feel” upset.
One expresses that feeling as an intense emotional rage. Another man also expresses his feeling being an intense emotion – a peaceful determination to resolve the situation with all the dealership.
So what are “emotions?” Basically how you feel are physiologically-based responses to your feelings. An emotions is how you *respond* with a sense of pain, pleasure, attraction or repulsion. Emotional responses change from one person to another location because they are actually *learned responses.*
How a “Law of Attraction” Really Works
Both neuroscientists and behavioral scientists have established that if you have a powerful emotion about something – you physically strengthen the your brain’s physical neural pathways dedicated to that “something.”
This is the neurological first step toward what metaphysical writers have for a long time referred to as the “Law of Attraction.” The modern scientific form of this ancient law may be stated: You “attract” what you intensely focus your emotion on – as in doing so, you build strong brain neural networks related compared to that something.
Here’s an example scenario. Suppose you’re investing in a Ford Pinto automobile. You decide on what you feel is the most exciting and unique color for your Pinto – deep red. But when you hit the road along with your new red Pinto, you suddenly see one to another with the exact same model – also red.
You’d nothing you’ve seen prior pointed out that red is actually the most common color for the Ford Pinto!
What happened is that your new red Pinto has established a dynamic neural awareness. Your neurons have already been sensitized to see similar cars because of your excitement (intense emotion) about your new car!
Did you attract these red cars? Of course not, however, you absolutely are now very aware of their presence.
The effectiveness of Positive Emotions
Let’s consider the salt water evaporates when it comes to goals. For example take an objective to “escape” poverty vs a goal to achieve “financial independence.”
Although both goals look toward the same final result – they handle quite different financial freedom. The need to escape poverty is fueled by fear, as the need to attain financial freedom is fueled by positive attraction.
While both may get you to the same goal – the “Law of Attraction” predicts quite a different experience over the path leading toward the thing.
In the event you build neural pathways according to doubt and fear, you may sensitize yourself to events or problems that might relate with your fears and self-doubt.
Imagine if you instead build neural pathways according to strong feelings of self-confidence and anticipation? You may then end up recognizing opportunities leading to your goal – equally as you suddenly noticed dozens of red Pintos.
Everything you focus intense emotion upon has a tendency to “attract your brain’s attention” to more of the same. This law is neither negative nor positive. It simply is!
Focus your feelings over a problem and provide to your fears, along with what you fear will gain actual neural strength. Instead approach your lifetime goals with positive, passionate desire – that which you *really* want – and pour your feelings in your pursuit!
