Ma Foster provides housing on her “girls,” Bella, Chloe and Kitty. Currently the three in residence are missing. Ma makes a big problem about this. She even visits the local newspaper when the local police do not act upon her fears. She does catch the attention of the out-of-work detective, the newest editor of the local newspaper and lastly the town itself.
The central character is Henrietta, who had been named following your town in question, Henryetta, Oklahoma. Henrietta offers quite a bit opting for her these days, she gets gone to live in the big city, OKC, OK and landed employment together with the local t.v. station. Max (Maximo) Morgan a would-be gum shoe private investigator with a penchant for old murder mysteries, especially Dashiel Hammet’s “Fat Man” tales. Then Deano DeBoffo as the “reality” show director trying to shot an airplane pilot to get a new show. Finally, Shatner Lapp, being a newsman, publisher, editor and all-round good old boy, involves town to assist in his Princeton buddy’s newspaper problems.
Once these individuals get involved with the gossip laden townsfolk, the misinformation flies. With more rumors then a facts probably warrant, these missing girls are more plus much more objects of speculation and intrigue while hardly any factual info is given. The rumors start mild as the missing girls are just looked for by Ma and Maximo.
These rumors and gossip finally resulted in a significant “reporter war” between Shat and Gigi. The misinformation here becomes the avalanche cascading in the news and therefore the townspeople.
