This innocuous book came to my attention in 2005 and possesses undergone my hands several times since. I needed no inclination to peruse its contents for I had created ceased to trust in miracles. In 2005, I became cursing God for abandoning me. I had been using my energy to prevent the hell I descended into Many years earlier by marrying a person as un-Godly as anyone may be.
In 2007, while packing some books as donations to get a book fair, my hand once again fell on “A Course in Miracles”. By this time, I had created secured the divorce from my partner but was still dealing with the fallout. Because i grasped it, I became very thoughtful and calm. That which was it about it book that invoked feelings I hadn’t experienced in a very long time? My hand clung to the book refusing to set it down. Realizing that this was a sign which i had better take particular notice, I developed a cup of tea and sat during my favorite reading chair. With great curiosity, I centered on nowhere hardcover and focus “A Course in Miracles, a basis for inner peace.” Wow. That was a pretty bold statement but okay, I decided to bite. Going for a deep breath slowly, I pondered the most obvious question: Is there a foundation for inner peace? This book instantly opened a well used wound and yes it had better have the reply to healing.
“A Course in Miracles” is really that, a course. Developed in three parts, this book is not being taken lightly and cannot be read per week or possibly a month. There is text, a workbook for college kids and a manual for teachers. I had the sudden urge to fling the book through the room since i was deeply and profoundly afraid. I instinctively understood once I started reading this book, I had been going to have to change and it was I ready for your journey ahead?
My favorite movie is “The Matrix”. The main character Neo is seeking the reply to the matrix. He understands the matrix exists but he doesn’t determine what it’s. The man with all the answer, Morpheus, contacts Neo and offers the chance for truth giving Neo a choice between taking a blue pill or even a red pill. Make blue pill and turn into ignorant or take the red pill in order to find the answer to the matrix. Before he reaches for his pill of choice, Morpheus cautions Neo that should he find the red pill, he can never go back to the life span he been living.
“A Course in Miracles” may be the red pill. Should i see clearly and alter everything I realize about the world and myself or should i make blue pill and make “A Course in Miracles” book fair fodder?
As I choke around the red pill, I flip to Lesson 1 of 365 inside the workbook for young students and promptly read, “Nothing I see within this room means anything”. Oh dear. Can it be far too late to take the blue pill?
