This innocuous book located attention in 2005 possesses undergone my hands repeatedly since. I had created no inclination to peruse its contents for I had ceased to trust in miracles. In 2005, I became cursing God for abandoning me. I became using my energy to prevent the hell I descended into Fifteen years earlier by marrying a man as un-Godly anyone might be.
In 2007, while packing some books as donations to get a book fair, my hand once more fell on “A Course in Miracles”. By this time, I needed secured a divorce from my better half but had been dealing with the fallout. As I grasped it, I became very thoughtful and calm. What was it concerning this book that invoked feelings I hadn’t familiar with a long time? Me clung towards the book refusing that will put it down. Understanding that this became indicative i ought to keep an eye on, I developed a bag and sat inside my favorite reading chair. With great curiosity, I devoted to the blue hardcover and browse “A Course in Miracles, the groundwork for inner peace.” Wow. That’s a reasonably bold statement but okay, I made a decision to bite. Having a deep breath slowly, I pondered decreasing question: What IS the foundation for inner peace? This book instantly opened a well used wound and it should have the solution to healing.
“A Course in Miracles” is really that, training. Written in three parts, this book is not to become taken lightly and should not be read in a week or maybe a month. There is certainly text, a workbook for college kids and a manual for teachers. I needed the sudden urge to fling the book over the room because I was deeply and profoundly afraid. I instinctively understood that when I began reading this article book, I was going to need to change and it was I ready for that journey ahead?
My personal favorite movie is “The Matrix”. The principle character Neo is looking for the answer to the matrix. He understands the matrix exists but he doesn’t know very well what it really is. The man with all the answer, Morpheus, contacts Neo and offers the opportunity for truth by giving Neo an option between taking a blue pill or perhaps a red pill. Go ahead and take blue pill and remain ignorant or consider the red pill and locate the answer to the matrix. Before he reaches for his pill of choice, Morpheus cautions Neo which should he pick the red pill, the guy can never return to lifespan he previously lived.
“A Course in Miracles” is the red pill. Should i make out the print and alter everything I realize in regards to the world and myself or must i take the blue pill to make “A Course in Miracles” book fair fodder?
As I choke along the red pill, I flip to Lesson 1 of 365 from the workbook for students and promptly read, “Nothing I see within this room means anything”. Oh dear. Is it past too far to accept blue pill?
